In April, 2021, Cloudflare Tunnel is announced as a free service for everyone. This service creates a secure, outbound-only connection between applications hosted locally and Cloudflare by deploying a lightweight connector (Cloudflared daemon).
Basically, with Cloudflare Tunnel, anyone can create a private link/tunnel from any locally hosted application or server to Cloudflare without a public IP address, port-forwarding or punching through a firewall. This secured Tunnel is established by running Cloudflared daemon, on the origin, which allows for a secure, outbound-only connection. All traffic, to the origin, funnels through Cloudflare network service.
